In case this
board ever goes down
There is a backup board at
www.ultimatesportsboards.com
When I try to login it
logs me out
Go down to the empty forum
that says "Welcome to
Ultimate Sports Boards"
enter that forum and login
there.
I cant log in (or out)
try logging out on both
http://ultimatesportsboards.org
AND
http://www.ultimatesportsboards.org,
clear your browser's cache
then log in on
http://www.ultimatesportsboards.org
insure all your bookmarks
and/or homepage include the
www. for future use. USB
sees both of them
differently. The cookie
placed on your computer by
one does not work for the
other. The quick fix is to
clear your cookies but you
will have to do it all the
time, if you continue to
have a problem logging in
then you should uncheck the
box that says "stay logged
in all the time" in your
profile.
Some links don't work for
me
The www. issue above is
also the reason why some
internal
links (to posts) wont work in message
board posts, to fix
just add or delete the www.
in the address bar of your
browser. Insure all your bookmarks
and/or homepage include the
www. for future use.
I cant log in with
my blackberry
You can try two methods to
get logged in, 1. Use the
scroll wheel to scroll down
to username (enter name) and
then scroll to password
(enter pw) then just hit
ENTER *DO NOT scroll down to
the LOGIN button and
then click wheel* or 2. Download
and use a different browser.
USB users have had success
with the Opera mini browser

Viewing with your
Blackberry
In
order to get USB to display
in a more friendly manner go
to your options and uncheck
the "support HTML Tables"
button. You can also emulate
a few different browsers (in
options) or try a new
browser like the two listed
above.
How do
I select my board
theme/colors/style/team?
Click the
"Profile" link at the top of
the board then select
"Display" on the left then
select your team.
Teams/Themes include: USB black and red (default), Work Safe (no banner, gray and white color), NCAA, MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, All black backgrounds with
red, blue, green, purple,
yellow, orange (listed last
under zUSB Black), and NASCAR, Soccer,
Rugby, Cricket, Poker, more
to come.
How do
I get an Avatar?
Follow the link at the top
of the board labeled
Avatars. Select the Avatar
you want then drag it
to your desktop. Now go back to the
board and click the
PROFILE link at the top.
Then select the
PERSONALITY link on the
left. Then click upload and
navigate to the picture you
have saved on the desktop.
After you replace an
avatar with a new one you
need to hit CTRL-F5 (at the
same time), this will clear
your cached image and refresh the
page.
I have
a picture I want to use, how
do I make a custom Avatar?
1. Crop out the unwanted
area around your subject in
the picture
with this online picture editor,
the max dimensions for
current avatars are
80hx100w, so crop your
pictures as a landscape.
Then use the resize area to
set the height or width
whichever is larger. Drag
the finished picture to your
desktop. Now go back to the
board and click the
"Profile" link at the top.
Then select the
"Personality" link on the
left. Then click upload and
navigate to the picture you
have saved on the desktop.

Yes, on your profile, the
Sports Specific Boards allow sports only
pictures, The Locker Room is
the only place you may post NSFW pictures
or links, The Bench does not
allow pictures.

the boards?
You should right click
the picture, then click
properties, then copy
the URL it should look
something like this

now paste the link in
your post and add

How
do I post my own
picture?
Step 1. Pictures
straight from your
digital camera will be
HUGE and will take all
day to load in peoples
browsers. You should resize
them before uploading
them to a host. Go here

to resize your pictures,
set the
max dimension to 600 pixels.
Now drag that picture to
your desktop and go to
step 2.
Step 2. You will need a
host for your picture.
Go to
http://tinypic.com/
and after you upload
your picture you will
copy the link that
says ***** IMG
Code for Forums &
Message Boards*****
and paste that into your
profile.
If you are linking
from somewhere else get
the direct link to the pic then

now click submit.
Insure that if you use
photobucket or something
similar that you set the
account to private so
people can not access
all your pictures also
NEVER leave picture
names in the order they
come from a camera like
001.jpg, 002.jpg,
003.jpg etc, those are
EASY to guess the order
and thus the name and
then people can see your
pictures even if the
account is set to
private.
Always rename each
picture to a random name
before you upload-
001.jpg to 001fghj.jpg,
002.jpg to qwfty002.jpg
and so on.
The
best way to set up your
profile is to upload
just the pictures you
want to share to
http://tinypic.com/
and link that
picture so you don't
risk exposing all your
pictures.
Can I
have more than one name?
Donors can have 2
names, one for a movile
device and one for the
computer. Everyone else is
allowed one name to prevent
trolling. Both names may be
banned or deleted if you are
caught with 2 names.
Can I
change my name?
Donors have the option
to change their name and
keep their post counts,
register date etc.
Regular users can create a
new name if you tell us
ahead of time you are
creating a new name so we
can delete the old one.
Can I
have different title/rank?
The standard ranks are
football terms. Donors can
set their own title in their
profile.
Are
there private messages?
No. You should go to your
profile, then go to privacy
on the left then check "hide
your email address but allow
form email" this allows
people to email you without
seeing your email address.
The email will come through
the USB servers. Remember if
you respond directly to
that email it will come from
your email address allowing
them to see your email
address. Don't reply
if you don't want your email
known.
